Boards and Commissions are established to provide certain services in enhancing the Lower Alsace Township quality of life. When a board is created, the Township Supervisors also delegate certain powers to them. That is, they has decision-making authorities over the management and control of services provided.
To promote input and involvement of the Lower Alsace Township citizens and, at the same time, assist the Supervisors in their deliberations, Committees and Committees are established by Council to study specific issues or areas of interest, and provide advice for consideration.
Memberships of these Boards, Committees, and Committees are appointed through Township resolutions, consisting of Supervisors and/or members of the public.
